Japan, it remains fascinating, funny, impressive, cute and especially very strange. Here just some pictures of this island kingdom. The millions of vending machines, the weird car models, the gambling halls, the cartoon characters that pop up everywhere and always, the love for the cat, the constant hello Kitty craze where even the Shinkansen participates in, the many, many towers that belong to every city, the fascination for everything that is Dutch, the old turntable phone that is still in use here, all the monsters, dragons and other common figures they love a lot and of course the selfies, group photos and everything that is somewhat important in their eyes. Sometimes you don't understand that at all. Always with the V sign ready. It was another beautiful trip through Japan, now in Bangkok.

Japan, het blijft fascinerend, grappig, imponerend, schattig en vooral vreemd. Hier zomaar wat plaatjes van dit eilandenrijk. De miljoenen automaten, de rare automodellen, de gokhallen, de stripfiguren die overal en altijd opduiken, de liefde voor de poes, de maar voortdurende hello Kitty rage waar zelfs de Shinkansen mee mee doet, de vele vele torens die bij iedere stad horen, de fascinatie voor alles wat Nederlands is, de oude draaischijf telefoon die hier nog steeds in gebruik is, alle monsters, draken en andere gangmakende figuren waar ze veel van houden en natuurlijk de selfies, groepsfoto’s en voor alles gaan staan wat maar enigszins belangrijk is in hun ogen. Soms begrijp je daar helemaal niets van. Altijd met het V teken in aanslag. Het was weer een mooie tocht door Japan, nu in Bangkok.
