As an unforgiving dreamer, I know you can feel homesick for a place you've never been and Wales is one of those places. I have seen and experienced much of Great Britain, but Wales always remained out of sight. Even on one of my visits to Liverpool I didn't realize that just across the Mersey you are almost in Wales. But now I'm here and I definitely have to visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllanty just for the place name sign. For the rest, you will have to walk between old mines and even older pubs. But it started at Cardiff Airport where there were no taxis, yes 1.5 hours waiting time, and it was also a very long wait for a bus. But then I walked through the twilight city and it was not disappointing. Nice center with lots of entertainment, drunk Welshmen, even more 'foreigners' from whom our four political nitwits could learn a lesson and an overdose of vape shops. The murals let you know that they still live here in the knightly age. I wouldn't have had to make this crossing because of the weather.
