Beetje laat maar iedereen nog veel dank voor al die felicitaties. Je word maar één keer 75 en helaas hebben veel van mijn vrienden dit niet eens gehaald. Ik had een reisje op de planning staan maar door allerlei visa perikelen was de voorbereiding hopeloos. Maar uiteindelijk kreeg ik op de ambassade in Den Haag toch mijn gewenste stempel. Het eerste uitzicht hier was niet echt om over te schrijven maar dat ga ik de komende weken goed maken. Bij aankomst was het erg druk vanwege de Afrikaanse spelen. Maar ik werd direct gelukkig van al die prachtige hoofden. Het voelt hier Afrika en dat voelt goed.
A little late, but thanks everyone for all the congratulations. You only turn 75 once and unfortunately many of my friends didn't even make it. I had a trip planned, but due to all kinds of visa issues, the preparation was hopeless. But eventually I got the stamp I wanted at the embassy in The Hague. The first view here wasn't really worth writing about, but I'll make up for that in the coming weeks. Upon arrival it was very busy because of the African games. But all those beautiful heads immediately made me happy. It feels like Africa here and that feels good.
